Dieser Wein wurde 47 Jahre lang in abgelagerten amerikanischen Eichenfssern im traditionellen Canteiro System gereift, wobei die Fsser nach und nach von den obersten wrmeren Stockwerken der Lodge in die mittleren Stockwerke und schlielich ins khle Erdgeschoss verlegt wurden. Der Wein wurde regelmig umgefllt und bei Erreichen des gewnschten Reifegrades in Flaschen abgefllt.
