This Gibson Explorer is a reissue of a 1976 model featuring a mahogany body (as opposed to a '50s Korina body), dual open coil Gibson humbuckers, and a slim neck profile also with burst finish. Explorers have long since had a left of center following. They were introduced in the '50s as one of their push the envelope designs
