Cannondale pioneered this standard along with specially designed cranks and many have found the benefits to them. Road versions have a 68mm width, MTB has 73mm. The TV stand is very simple to assemble and most people should be able to complete it in a little while, as several steps may require a second person. The unit itself is very sturdy and a little larger than I expected. The sliding "door" does require a little force to move, but furniture wax should do the trick nicely.
